... “What is most impressive about the XCA is their balanced approach to team development. Dana and Mike are focused on developing a true team environment in and out of the gym. They make sure that the team bonds, that everyone feels important, and that no kid feels left out.” ...

    Neil Spagna (President, FALL)

“As a parent, finding a program that stresses good sportsmanship, teamwork and promotes self-confidence is equally as important as the sport itself. Mike Talbot's expertise, professionalism and priority on safety convinced me that Xtreme Cheer was a program that would help my daughter improve her cheerleading and gymnastic skills and increase her self-confidence while having fun and staying safe!”

    Alison Rhodes-Jacobson (safetymom.com)

“When it comes to spotting and instructing tumbling at the high school level the only answer is Mike Talbot. He is professional, educated, knowledgeable, and skilled at the craft of spotting tumbling. I know that when my athletes try new skills, they are safe because they are in Mike's hands, but more importantly, my athletes also know that they are safe. They trust Mike wholeheartedly which allows them to take the risks needed to push their skills to new levels. My team has seen such growth and development because of the instruction they have received from Mike. The relationship that Mike builds with each and every single one of my cheerleaders in incredible; he is sincere, funny, and kind, yet stern when need be. He has a genuine love for the sport of cheerleading and it shows when he is working with his athletes. He is not only the most qualified and skilled tumbling instructor in Fairfield County, he is a strong role model committed to positively influencing young athletes both on and off the mat. As a high school cheerleading coach you cannot make a better decision than to hire Mike Talbot and make him a part of your team.”

Avery Watson (Head Coach, Staples High)

“In the world of All Star Cheerleading, Xtreme Cheer CT is a home away from home for their athletes. Owners Mike & Dana Talbot, along with a top-notch coaching staff are all about the kids and their families. They have the unique ability to tap into any child's talent and nurture that to their desired level of skill. Additionally, the bond that forms between them and their athletes is second to none. They have an open door policy for anyone -- parent or child -- to discuss with or listen to, any topic, any time. That accessibility allows for their athletes to be focused and driven which is a skill set they will use throughout their lives. Through the years we have seen many cheer families jump from gym to gym, but once they find Xtreme Cheer, they have found the place that all the other gyms aspire to be. Their motto of “One Team, One Family” perfectly describes Xtreme Cheer!”

Laurie Sirois (Team Parent for 11 years)

“I just want to say what an outstanding program Xtreme Cheer is. Under the coaching of Mike & Dana Talbot (and all the coaches), my daughters have not only learned some amazing cheer skills, but life skills as well. There is no place they'd rather be than in the gym, and that's always a good thing when your kids say that! Mike & Dana foster a sense of warmth, welcoming, and encouragement, no matter what the skill level and no matter if they win or lose. They are always looking out for the best interests of ALL the athletes, and truly, genuinely care about each and every one. There are not enough words to say how proud I am to be a part of this extraordinary program, and how I consider Mike & Dana to be a part of my family!”

Carolyn Barrese (Team Parent for 10 years)
